Spiral Wound Gasket

The metal bell-wound gasket is alternately wound with V-shaped metal belts and non-metallic strip fillers. The metal belt ensures the resilience of the gasket. Non-metallic strip packing ensures the airtightness of the gasket. Due to the combination of the above materials, gold-black winding mats are usually used under working conditions with severe temperature and pressure fluctuations. According to the requirements of the use situation, the inner diameter direction of the winding part is provided with inner and outer metal rings.

RF1 type It is only made of a metal shaft wound around a belt and shaped packing, without inner and outer rings, and is suitable for sample tank flanges.	SG type Except for the outer ring with centering reinforcement, the rest of the structure is the same as the RF1 type, suitable for concave and convex flanges. The centering reinforcement ring not only ensures fast and accurate centering of the gasket during installation, but also prevents extrusion damage when the gasket is installed and tightened.	RF-IR type The basic structure is the same as the RF1 type. It has an inner reinforcing ring and is suitable for concave and convex flanges. The installation of the inner reinforcing ring can prevent the gasket winding area from being eroded or bent by the medium.

SG-IR type Except for the inner reinforcing ring, its structure is the same as the SG type and is suitable for raised flanges.	SG-RTJ type The basic structure is the same as SG type, and the dimensions are manufactured according to the requirements of the connecting surface flange.	HX-R type The basic structure is the same as the SG type, except that the centering reinforcement ring is made of metal strips. Narrow size, suitable for centering heat exchanger gaskets.

HX-RIR type Except for the inner reinforcing ring, the rest of the structure is the same as the HX-R type. Suitable for sealing connections of large heat exchangers and concave and convex flanges.

When the metal-wound graphite and packing tape may react chemically with the system medium or contaminate the medium, you can consider choosing GT zone wound pads to solve the problem. Special bead shape Metal winding pads can be designed into a variety of shapes, such as oval, pear-shaped, with isolation strips, etc. Usually the isolation strips of metal winding pads are realized in the form of metal-coated strips.	WL type The structure of the WL type metal winding pad is exactly the same as that of the RF1 type, except that a metal winding tape is installed on the outside for centering. Centering is achieved by tightening the metal winding tape on two opposite fastening bolts. For details, see the schematic diagram below.

MH type The MH type metal maintenance pad has the same structure as the RF1 type, except that the shape is designed to be an oval shape suitable for the size of the manhole.	HE type HE-type metal spiral wound gasket with isolation strip is usually used as a seal for heat exchangers or containers. Its basic structure is the same as RF1. The metal package isolation and thickness are usually smaller than the thickness of the spiral wound gasket. The spacer strip and winding pad are connected by welding.

	HE-SG type Except for the outer ring, the structure of the HE-SG type metal spiral pad is exactly the same as that of the HE type.
TC/HH type TC/HH type metal retaining gasket is specially designed for sealing maintenance holes and special flanges (pipe covers or hand hole covers, etc.), and can be square, rectangular, oval, diamond-shaped or pear-shaped, etc. In the order form for special shape gaskets, correct detailed dimensional drawings must be provided.
	HE-SG-IR type Except for the inner and outer reinforcing rings, the structure of the HE-SG-IR metal relay pad is exactly the same as the HE type.

Selection of filler tape materials

The table on the right can be used as a reference for the correct selection of filler tape. It must be emphasized that graphite materials may contaminate the medium or cannot withstand the erosion of chemical media. Only materials recommended in other tables will be selected, or GT zone metal winding pads will be selected.

Graphite

It has the advantages of better chemical resistance, not easy to age, good air tightness and suitable for high temperature working conditions. It is a commonly used sealing performance, but its applicable medium temperature exceeds the limit temperature that standard stone eggs can withstand.

APX2 Graphite

apx2 graphite has the characteristics of inhibiting mechanization and has the same sealing performance as graphite, but its applicable medium temperature exceeds the limit temperature that standard graphite can withstand.

PTFE

PTFE is a performance-enhancing synthetic material with the following properties:
